Mequon Real Estate

Mequon is a very nice community in Ozaukee County. It is a newer community that always has new construction going on. There are a few commercial areas in Mequon that include many quaint shops as well as a number of chain stores. The quality of life is very nice in Mequon, WI. It has two private country clubs, one semi-private club and one public golf course.

While most of the newer real estate in Mequon caters to the home buyers looking to spend over $600,000, there usually is a good selection avaialble and even a handful of homes around $500,000 can be found. There are also a handful of condominium complexes with a wide range of prices. Some of these condos are very spacious and even have basements.

Mequon is a suburban style community with a handful of nice parks. Rotary Park is home to the popular Gathering on the Green event every summer. Virmond Park is positioned along the shores of Lake Michigan. The community has a very nice selection of restaurants that cater to a wide variety of tastes.

The community sits on the southern edge of Ozaukee County and is bordered by municipalities of Brown Deer, Milwaukee, River Hills, Bayside, Germantown, Grafton and Cedarburg. Its eastern border is Lake Michigan. Since Mequon is still a developing community, there are still a number of farms in the city.

Most homes in Mequon, WI will be priced anywhere from around $300,000 into the millions of dollars.

Downtown Milwaukee is just a short drive from Mequon, WI. It is only about 15 minutes. The area has a number of parks. One in particular is Virmond Park which is located on Lake Michigan.
